Memory Quilt
A quilt made of blocks cut from baby clothes. You'll plan the layout, stabilise and cut blocks, then piece, quilt and bind it.
12 lessons after the foundations
Memory Cushion
A patchwork cushion cover from favourite baby clothes — a lovely first project. You'll plan the patches, sew the front and finish it with a zip or envelope back.

What you'll learn
Calm, step-by-step skills
- Sewing from zero: machine set-up, threading, straight lines and seams (skip if you already sew)
- Sort and prepare baby clothes by fabric and condition
- Deal with stains, snaps, zips, buttons and thick seams
- Stabilise stretchy fabrics so they sew neatly
- Plan your keepsake before you cut anything
- Sew a memory bear from pattern pieces to finished bear
- Piece, quilt and bind a memory quilt
- Make a patchwork memory cushion with a zip or envelope back
